
MATTHEW P. HATFIELD --- President & CEO of Hatfield Sports
In August of 2004, Matthew P. Hatfield - the President & CEO of
Hatfield Sports - launched his first ever, brad new website - www.
matthewhatfield.com. "I'm very excited about this new venture,"
stated Hatfield. "For quite a few years now, I've been following
sports and have a great passion for them. A lot of hard work and
time has been put into the launching of this website and that will
continue." Every season of the year, Matthew does something
different whether it concerns basketball, football, baseball or other
sports of interest. From season previews, playoff previews and
analysis during the season for the NBA, NFL, MLB, College Football,
College Basketball, etc - to his chat room and personal BLOG -
Hatfield covers it all like no else can. In addition, Hatfield also puts
out his annual NFL & College Football Preview Magazine every
summer since 2004. "We at Hatfield Sports hope to continue to
grow and prosper with each day, giving you the fans a unique look
at the sports world from a different perspective."

*** Matthew has made some guest appearances on radio and
television shows in the Hampton Roads area.
*** Hatfield is a weekly guest during football season in the Fall on the
popular Tony Mercurio Show in Norfolk, VA on ESPN Radio 94.1FM
as well as a weekly guest at 10:25 AM on the Saturday High School
Sports Talk program hosted by Richie Summerville and Coach Ed
Young.
*** In the fall of 2003 and 2004, Matthew spent his time as a weekly
on-site reporter for the High School Football Scoreboard Show on
ESPN Radio 1310 - hosted by Richie Summerville. Hatfield served
as a statistician for girls basketball in the city of Virginia Beach from
2004-07.
*** In December of 2004, Hatfield agreed to a deal to become the
lead Eastern Region High School Basketball Writer for Virginia
Preps. Hatfield does numerous recruiting as well as feature stories
on both basketball and football for the site. There you can find his

*** Also in December of 2004, Hatfield was recognized for his
outstanding football reporting for ESPN Radio 1310 by the people at
Kempsville High School and Principal Dr. Louis O. Tonelson (AAA
chairman of the VHSL Executive Committee).
*** Hatfield became an official member of the National Football
League media on Wednesday, January 5, 2005.
*** On Saturday, January 20, 2007, Hatfield and Nansemond River
(Suffolk, VA) Head Basketball Coach Ed Young were privileged to do
the broadcast of two High School Basketball games live on
GamedayMagazine.com as part of the third annual Martin Luther
King, Jr. Roundball Classic held at ODU's Ted Constant Center.
They called Our Savior Lutheran, NY vs. Menchville HS of Newport
News, VA; and Schenley, PA vs. Booker T. Washington of Norfolk,
VA. Hatfield did the play-by-play work with Young filling the role as
game analyst.
*** On Saturday, September 15, 2007, Hatfield was a half-time guest
with Terry Sisisky and Mark Nieman of WGGM 820 AM Radio during
the Booker T. Washington 20-14 football victory over Petersburg.
